Fall Book Sale
●Dates
○October 18 - Member Preview, 5-7pm
○October 19 - Public, 9am - 3pm
●Promotion
○We would love LBOT support to promote the event eg LBOT posting on FPF &
social media; I’ll resend the poster as a jpeg.
Cookie Walk
●What is it?
○Buy homemade cookies by the pound
○Gluten free cookies and nut free cookies available
●Date:
○November 23, 10am-2pm, Library
●Preparation
○Outreach to bakers has started
Membership
●Tabling at Mall for Library Card Sign-up was slightly hindered by the catalogue system
overhaul, but positive initial foray into outreach
●Other ideas in development
Marketing
●Rebranding the advocate & publicity committee to marketing
●Volunteers making a master promotional calendar for all FOTL events & activities
Book Shop Volunteers
●We desperately need to increase our pool of volunteers
○Volunteer can work one 2-hour shift per month
○All leads welcome
●Getting setup with high school community service program
●Current shop volunteers to do personal outreach to invite other FOTL to the shop
●Broader outreach, e.g. United way & Volunteer Match, will be the next phase of outreach
Organizational Structure
●Borrowed LBOT grid of who is on what committee; building out who is doing what at
October FOTL meeting
●Each newly rebooted committee will develop job descriptions
Meetings
●4th Thursday of each month, 9am, Wheeler House
●Nov & Dec tbd
