Burlington, VT 05403-6131 APPEAL TO THE SOUTH BURLINGTON ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT Summary of answers to 5 criteria: 1) The hardship is because I have a land -locked lot served by just a right of way (I have an approx. 120 ft driveway to the street). It is a small lot that conforms to the minimum lot size, and I only need a small addition. 2) I think it is a reasonable request to want an entrance to my house. Currently I come right into the living room and because of the gravel driveway I am having a problem with dirt & dust constantly getting into the house and onto the carpet. 3) I did not create the lot; it was already subdivided when I bought the house in April. 4) The neighborhood is all residential and fully developed. The addition is small and will not affect access to my land. There will still be adequate space to get emergency or fire vehicles around the house. 5) This request is for a very small addition (64 sq ft). I can confortably live with an 8' x 8' mud room.
