The value of the (33) existing trees was included in previous permit approvals and therefore needs to be replaced within the scope of the proposed project. The approach to replacement calculates the cost to purchase and install the originally permitted material at its originally installed size in today’s market. Two (2) of the existing trees to be removed were existing trees in the original permit approvals. For these two (2) trees, we have replaced them on an inch for inch basis using their current size; 20” and 14” respectively. The total tree replacement value is $36,850 as presented in the table below; Tree Replacement Summary Table. We have prepared a supplemental planting plan that proposes off-site planting equal to this value (Refer to LA401, Off Site Planting Plan). We have also prepared an update to the overall project estimate that includes landscape requirements and replacement planting values (Attached).
