DECISION AND FINDING OF FACT
On the 13 of June, 1994 the South Burlington Zoning Board of
Adjustment heard evidence regarding the appeal of Dynapower
Corporation, Peter Pollak, 1020 Hinesburg Road based on the
following facts and findings:
1) The appellant is requesting permission to erect a wind
turbine generator at a height of one hundred and five feet.
2) The Vermont Statutes were amended to allow for the
construction of a renewable energy resource structure.
3) Federal Aviation Administration has ruled that the height of
the proposed wind generator would not be a hazard to air
navigation.
4) The proposed wind generator would provide an alternative
means of power.
5) The wind generator will provide for research and design with
possible future manufacturing by Dynapower and use by Green
Mountain Power.
6) The planning staff determined that the location is not within
the view protection zone.
