Meeting of the Governance & Nominating Committee Minutes of May 7, 2019
Members Present: Nancy Fawley, Patrick Leduc, Stacey Pape
Members Absent: Mark Coel
Staff Members Absent: Jennifer Murray
Guests: None
Mr. Leduc called the meeting to order at 6:36 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019. There were no changes or additions to the posted agenda. The Committee reviewed the minutes of January 7, 2019. Nancy made a motion to approve the minutes, Stacey
seconded. ☒Motion approved. Patrick opened with a discussion of committee membership and officers. Jay Pasackow, Lee Freeman and Stacey Pape have all expressed interest in re-applying for committee membership. He also noted that the City Council may or may not have interest in growing the Board of Trustees to 13 members from the current 11. Patrick,
Stacey and Nancy all agreed that 11 was likely the appropriate number at this time but did discussion potential additional skills that the board may benefit from, primarily in the finance/accounting area. The committee then discussed current committee roles and potential committee chair assignments. Patrick will follow up with interested parties before presenting to the full board.
The next item discussed was the fact that at the first meeting in the new Fiscal year, July 2019 the trustees will need to replace or re-appoint Officers and the Chair of the Board, is tasked with appointing/re-appointing committee chairs. Having no more business before the Committee Chair Patrick Leduc, adjourned the meeting at 7:05pm Respectfully submitted,
