HomeMy WebLinkAboutVR-93-0000 - Decision - 0195 Hinesburg RoadSTATE OF VERMONT COUNTY OF CHITTENDEN CITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON I/R — Ct 3 DECISION AND FINDING OF FACT On the loth day of May, 1993, the South Burlington Zoning Board of Adjustment heard evidence regarding the appeal of Ernest Levesque, 195 Hinesburg Road based on the following facts and findings: 1) Appellant requests permission to manufacture outdoor furniture from a 28' x28' garage and display furniture from the front yard area at 195 Hinesburg Road. 2) Under in -home occupation permits, only a minor portion of a dwelling may be used for home occupations. 3) A variance would result in a change of character of the neighborhood, display of tables and chairs not in keeping with the residential character of the area. 4) Based on evidence submitted by the applicant, he has created his own hardship. Property is presently used as a duplex, which is the highest and best use. 5) Woodworking shop operating as a commercial use not allowed in residential area.
