HomeMy WebLinkAboutMS-78-0000 - Decision - 0050 Green Mountain Drive• `" STATE OF VERMONT COUn`TY OF ChJ'"TENDEN CITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON h - DECISION & FINDINGS OF FACT Re Appeal of Charles Zachary, 50 Green Mountain Drive -: On the 23rd. day of October 1978 the South Burlington { , Zoning Board of Adjustment X44=mW or denied the appeal of Charles Zachary, 50 Green Mountain Drive based, on the following facts:. 1) The character of the area is established as compatible with nearby residences and provides a reasonable buffer and tran- sition zone from high commercial to light industrial and light commercial to residences. The variance would completely re- verse this desirable development evolvement and would certainly not be in the best interest of promoting the health, safety, and general welfare of the community. 2) The proposed business would alter the'present character of 3) the area and would definitely contribute to an alteration in business emphasis, no longer within reasonable control of the city once this precedent is set. The appropriate use of near- by residences could be adversely affected by this and other related business developing in the neigbhorhood _ Hill Drive - U.V.M. Horticultural Farm and Green Mountain Drive right of way) would be adversely affected y granting _±bis conditional use.
