HomeMy WebLinkAboutCU-90-0000 - Supplemental - 0860 Williston Road (3)3 FINDING OF FACTS STATE OF VERMONT COUNTY OF CHITTENAEN CITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON 17EPISTON& FILMING OF FACT On the 14th day of May 1990, the South Burlington Zoning Board of Adjustment heard evidence regarding the appeal of University of Vermont, Mr. Robert Penniman, 860 Williston Road on the following facts and findings: 1) Based on the -traffic study prepared by Resource Systems Group of Norwich, Vermont and reviewed by the Chittenden County region- al Commission the Hoard finds that criteria C (traffic on roads and highways in the vicinity) should have a minimum affect. 2) This proposal does not affect the general character of the area, a similar project is proposed and approved by the City of Burlington on an adjoining East Avenue parcel. 3) This proposal should have no impact on existing or planned municipal or educational facilities. 4) All by-laws in effect are in compliance. Stipulations: 1. That approval for a second left turn lane exiting the Shera- ton be obtained by U.V.M. so that a second left turn lane may be constructed at a time when transportation studies and/or traffic operational characteristics show that is necessary. 2. That the dual left turn lane when constructed be done in such a way so as not to conflict with left turns exiting the Gaynes driveway. 3. That U.V.M. provide access to existing parking lots currently owned by the Sheraton via the newly constructed roadway. 4. That the roadway be signed for "No Through Traffic". 5. That if the Sheraton or the City of South Burlington feel that through traffic becomes a problem on the new roadway, that the University conduct a study in order to determine the amount of through traffic using the roadway. If neces- sary, U.V.M. would then be responsible for controlling through traffic - possibly with a security officer or gate. h 6. That the signal ,installation at East Avenue/Carrigan Drive, as well as restriping of the existing intersection approach- es, be completed by'U.V.M. before the new parking lots are open.
