Dear Mr. Ward:
This is to notify you that the undersigned, David B. Conant
will not be able to attend the Zoning Board of Adjustment Hearing on
April 17, 1978 concerning my appeal for a variance. I will be
represented by David Farrington, whom I have appointed as my agent for
this hearing.
In reply to the five (5) facts reouired I offer the following:
1. As I am unable to change the size of the lot
I am reouesting this variance.
2. I am unable to change the size or shape of the _
lot so I am reouesting this variance.
3. No unnecessary hardship has been created on any
of the adjourning property owners.
4. That this being an area of one or two story
dwellings of one family, this change will have
no detrimental effect upon the neighborhood.
5. If the variance is authorized the change reouested
will have a minimal effect visual or otherwise
on the neighborhood. The change is necessary in
order that the second floor be able to accomodate
humans of normal height and allow them livable
space in the form of bedrooms and a half bath.

I understand the regular meetings are held twice a month on Monday
at 5:00 p.m. at the City Hall, Conference Room. The legal advertise-
ment must appear in the Burlington Free Press a minimum of fifteen
(15) days before the hearing, I agree to pay a fee of $30.00 which
fee is to off -set the costs of advertising and the hearing.
