DRAFT Meeting Minutes
for the Tuesday, July 30, 2019
In Attendance: Trice Stratmann (Chair), Jennifer Kochman, Jean-Sebastien Chaulot (Vice-Chair),
Amanda Holland, Penne Tompkins
1. Call to order Trice Stratmann called the meeting to order at 5:37 PM. No changes were made to the agenda.
2. Public Comments
No public comments were made.
3. Minutes The draft minutes for July 8th meeting was presented and Jennifer Kochman moved that they be
approved, Penne Tompkins seconded the motion and all were approved.
4. Work Plan for FY2020
Committee members reviewed and modified the draft work plan for the FY2020. Penne Thompkins
moved to approve the work plan for FY2020 and it be provided to City Staff, Jennifer Kochman seconded
and all were in favor.
5. Annual Report for FY2019
Committee members reviewed and modified the draft annual report for the FY2019 that highlighted the
Committee’s accomplishments. Jean-Sebastien Chaulot moved to approve the annual report for
FY2019, Penne Tompkins seconded and all were in favor.
6. Recommendations Regarding the CIP
The Committee agreed to move the discussion of the FY2021-2030 Capital Improvement Program to the
next meeting.
7. Municipal Planning Grant Application The Committee discussed the timeline for the grant and potential for it to fit the identified need of
developing a cultural plan for the City of South Burlington. The Committee is interested in exploring a
Municipal Planning Grant or other funding for the first piece in this process, a Community Cultural Asset
Map/Inventory. It was noted that the Committee would like additional guidance from City staff on steps
for an application.
8. Committee Symposium
The Committee discussed ideas for its presentation September 26. Trice will follow up with Tyler
Vendituoli regarding one of the ideas.
9. Adjourn
A next meeting was tentatively set for Tuesday August 20 at 5:30 p.m.
Meeting adjourned at 6:36 p.m.
