HomeMy WebLinkAboutVR-94-0000 - Decision - 1001 Dorset StreetSTATE OF VERMONT COUNTY OF CHITTENDEN CITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON IM _9c(_ D 06b DECISION AND FINDING OF FACT On the llth day of April, 1994, the South Burlington Zoning Board of Adjustment heard evidence regarding the appeal of David DuBrul, formerly Myers property, 1001 Dorset Street based on the following facts and findings: 1. Applicant is requesting to renovate an existing residential structure which is non -complying to the set -back requirements. 2. The existing structure was constructed in the 1850's, presently listed on the State Historic Register. 3. Rear of property is designated as wetlands, zoning prohibits encroachment within this area, therefore, it is necessary to locate all structures outside of C.O. District. 4. Renovation to the interior of the structure does not alter the character of the area, in fact preserves it. 5. Proposed garage is setback a greater distance than existing structure, complying to dimensional requirements setforth in most residential areas.
