HomeMy WebLinkAboutVR-98-0000 - Decision - 0150 Dorset StreetSOUTH BURLINGTON ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT STATE OF VERMONT COUNTY OF CHITTENDEN CITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON Re: Mery Brown Request for a variance Dorset Square Mall 150 Dorset Street Findings of Fact, Conclusions of Law & Order This matter came before the South Burlington Zoning Board of Adjustment on June 8, 1998 by application of Dorset Square Associates, Mev Brown for a variance to construct a 12' x 60' gable entrance way to westerly side of building, located at 150 Dorset Street according to plans submitted. The Board of Adjustment finds as follows: 2) Dorset Square Mall is located within the Central District I. 3) Section 26.002 prohibits increasing the footprint and heights of any non -complying structures. 4) The building envelop within the Central District is between zero (0) and eighty (80) feet from the street right-of-way. 5) Zoning changes since construction of the project have made this structure non -complying to Section 14.402. 6) The addition is a covered walkway and will match existing walkway. 7) The addition creates a pedestrian friendly area and provides protection from the weather. 8) The proposed addition is considered as a facade change, no additional gain in building footage. 9) Variance will not alter character of area.
