Present: Jennifer Kochman (Audio bridge), Mike Simoneau (Ac ng Chair), Glenn Sproul, Paul Steinman, Rebecca Poque e,Maggie Leugers, George Donovan

Mee ng was called to order at 5:02pm.
Changes to the agenda:
Jennifer suggested adding me to discuss City Council direc ve for all commi ees to review their comprehensiveplan goals and determine what had been achieved and what remained. Determine how those goals could be metand what resources might be needed to meet those goals. A matrix was being provided to help define theprocess. It would be ideal to have the matrix par ally complete before a planned review in March.

Red Clover Proposal: Lou Dimasi, Owner/Founder, provided a proposal for event planning at the Wheeler House property.He was encouraged to present to the NRC and have a be er understanding of the proposed WheelerProperty easement.
Directors Report
Notes addi onal to Maggie’s wri en report:- Park Metrics are being compiled to compare our park system with others around the na on. Processis approx. 50% complete.- “SoBu Life” our R&P Magazine will be out mid-February.- Annual Report is complete! It is online and available.- Father Daughter Dance is scheduled for 11-Feb at the Double Tree Hotel.Next year the Double Tree will be sponsoring the en re event.- Baycrest Park: Park maintenance staff will be taking down poplar trees to minimize poten al fordamage to the pay ground resources. Maggie will endeavor to no fy neighbors via email to minimizeany surprise.
Smoking Policy
Group is inclined to support development of an ordinance proposal to provide to our governing body basedupon the dra provided by Maggie.
Follow-up on Kirby Co ages
Parks & Recrea on Commi ee agrees to take a formal posi on (mo on) on the reloca on of the Kirby Co agestructures. Syntax of the mo on: “The Recrea on and Parks Commi ee opposes re-loca on of the Kirby Co agesto O’Brien Center in Jaycee Park, or to any other city park.” Mo on was made by Rebecca seconded by Glenn.
Orienta on, Mission Statement
Per request of City Council, Jennifer has developed a dra Parks & Recrea on mission statement (provided in themee ng documents). Glen suggests the addi on of verbiage to advocate for appropriate facility space.Jennifer acknowledged, agrees, and invites all addi onal commi ee feedback. Will rework verbiage to include allsugges ons. All working commi ees are encouraged to have updated by laws, mission statement, and orienta on packet fornew members.
