Bike Rack: City Center updates for Market Street and Dumont Park Policy in Parks Retreat Follow-up Recreaon and Parks Commiee Mission Statement for By-laws, and Orientaon Plan Mission Statement The mission of the Recreaon and Parks Commiee is to provide cizen advisory capacity to the Recreaon and Parks Department; to promote goals and efforts to provide recreaon and program opportunies; and to acquire and maintain recreaon facilies and open space. We do this in concert with the NRPA pillars of recreaon: Conservaon, Health and Well-being, and Social Equity. Orientaon Tour: Staff and/or execuve commiee will conduct a tour of SB parks and recreaon facilies. Meeng: Staff and/or execuve commiee will meet with new member(s) to present overview(s) and discuss work of the commiee. As I said at the meeng, I think it's important to provide a balance of a few pieces in hard copy (or aachment to email) and a library of important resources on a thumb drive. Where to draw the line between the two is somewhat arbitrary, but I would suggest hard copies of the following: List of Commiee members About Recreaon and Parks Commiee Mission statement from the Bylaws Minutes, Agendas and aachments from previous one or two meengs A printed index of the documents to be found on the thumb drive. Without going over a page or two, the index might be expanded to include a sentence or two of guidance to each document, including date of issue, parcularly important secons (for a long document like the Comp Plan), maybe * and ** notaons for pivotal docs.
