1. Call to Order. The meeting was called to order at 5:20 PM. Everyone introduced
themselves. The agenda was reviewed and a discussion regarding things to be removed
from the agenda followed.
2.Motion to Approve Minutes.
Action: Amanda Holland motioned to approve the minutes, Jean Sebastien Chaulot
seconded the motion, and minutes were unanimously approved.
3.Discuss Market Street. Ilona explained Market Street Engineering, features, and outlined
opportunities. Several areas were identified as potential art locations including near Dorset
Street, and along other intersections.
The best area was determined to be the area around the Market Street bridge and stormwater
pond as this is where the most is known about the future appearance of the area. The Market
Street project consultants will provide the committee with direction in determining what
types of installations are feasible.
City staff will create provide sample RFQ/calls for artists.
4.Discussion regarding information sharing. The Committee is limited from discussing
business of the committee outside of meetings via e-mail. If there is a public related arts
resource the committee would like shared, please send the resource to Ilona and she can
share it with everyone.
5.Quick Overview of Garden Street. Ilona explained changes to areas surrounding Garden
Street with a brief overview of the planned layout of Garden Street. Discussion did not go
much further than a brief overview.
6.Other Business. Meetings will be monthly from now on.
Election of officers should be delayed to the next meeting in September, due to the lack of
attendance of members.
Doodle will be used to schedule the next meeting.
In the next meeting committee should vote on Bylaws.
7.Adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 6:35.
