Stakeholder letters are going out on Friday, January 18 to request information on the past use of the parcel and what they hope to do with the parcel in the future. Responses will be due in about one week. The committee expressed concern about the building being vacant for an extended period of time and suggested the designation of an interim occupant to keep an eye on the building. Concern was also expressed about the future of the out-building next to the main building and the proposed method of demolition of the out-building. Open Space IZ Committee: The Cmte worked on refining their Vision, Goals, Priorities and Strategies in preparation for their presentation at the joint Planning Commission / City Council meeting on January 22. Next Meeting: The next meeting of the Natural Resources Committee / Interim Zoning Open Space Committee will be Thursday, February 7 at 7:00pm and will continue on the first and third Thursdays of each month at 7:00pm until needed to expedite the work on the products for the City Council. It was agreed that future meetings will begin with IZ Open Space Committee business and end with Natural Resource Committee (NRC) business so that those Open Space Committee members which are not part of the NRC do not have to sit through NRC business. In addition, an effort will be made to address most NRC business at first meeting of each month, leaving the second meeting of the month for IZ Open Space Committee business. Meeting adjourned at 9:08pm. Respectfully submitted, Patrick Clemins
