Call to orderMeeng called to order 4:pm.  2. Additions and deletions to the posted agenda No additions or deletions to agenda. 3. Approval of October 9, 2018 Advocacy Minutes Motion :Linda Darlington Second: Lee Freeman  Motion Passed.4. Review of Successes of Getting out the vote and next steps for Advocacy Briefly discussed thanking the community.  We did put an add in the OP and most felt like that was sufficient.  We need to look on our committee relationship to the goals of the Capital Campaign.  Katherine spoke to the changes to the Capital Campaign committee which was formerly the Board Fund Raising Committee.  They will be hiring a contracted coordinator to oversee day to day operations.  Once that hire is complete, there will be a marketing and outreach plan.  It makes sense that the Advocacy Committee would fit into this.  Katherine and Bonnie will connect with the Capital Campaign Committee about the committee’s needs regarding advocacy.   5. Next Steps: We would like to check with Christine to see what best methods of communication should be used.  We need to identify audiences and pose the idea of “what can the library do for you?  WE need to connect to the imagination and wishes of the community and our library’s role.  We will also need to include some special events.  The kick off for the non-silent phase of the CC would be an obvious time for an event.  Possibly later in the summer.   We are waiting for materials to be completed for the Capital Campaign which should be coming soon. We may want to use some of the same ideas as getting out the vote.  Ideas from Jennifer: Did you know? Writing up the programs. Book groups Web page and blog articles   5. Comments from the public No comments from the public Meeting adjourned at 5PM.  Next meeting:  February 20, 2019 at 4PM in Library Conference Room
