Chair Patrick Leduc called the meeting to order at 6:01 p.m., and a quorum was
established.
Additions or Deletions to the posted Agenda
There were no additions or deletions to the posted agenda.
Comments and questions from the public not related to items on the agenda
There were no comments from the public
Advocacy Committee – request for approval of funds
Advocacy Committee Chair Bonnie Finnigan shared the current plans for advocacy work to
engage the community in an affirmative vote for the Library. Bonnie explained the cost of
ads in The Other paper, yard signs, and post cards that are planned to be sent out. She
presented a proposed budget (see attachment) and following some questions from the trustees
on the costs and the opportunity to ask the Recreation & Parks Committee for funds to help
with the advocacy work, Bonnie recommended that the trustees approve an increase to the
funds the advocacy has the authority to utilize.
Upon a motion made by Trustee Bonnie Finnigan and seconded by Trustee Jay Pasackow, the
Trustees voted unanimously to approve the advocacy committee’s request to use up to $4,177
for outreach to citizens and support of the New Library on the ballot November 6th, 2018; an
increase of $2,305 over the previously approved total of $1,812
Other Business
There being no other business, Chair Patrick Leduc adjourned the meeting at 6:23
p.m.
