HomeMy WebLinkAboutDR-07-05 - Decision - 0108 Dorset Street#DR-07-05 CITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND ZONING THE ANCHORAGE INN - 108 DORSET STREET DESIGN REVIEW APPLICATION #DR-07-05 FINDINGS OF FACT AND DECISION The Anchorage Inn, hereafter referred to as the applicant, is requesting design review approval for the exterior modifications to the property located at 108 Dorset Street. The subject property falls within Design District 1 of the City Center Design Review Overlay District. Pursuant to Section 11.01 of the South Burlington Land Development Regulations, these changes shall be subject to design review by the Design Review Committee (DRC) and the Development Review Board (DRB). The Development Review Board held a public meeting on Tuesday, June 5, 2007. Bob McCarrol represented the applicant. Based on testimony provided at the above mentioned public meeting and the plans and supporting materials contained in the document file for this application, the Development Review Board finds, concludes, and decides the following: FINDINGS OF FACT The applicant is requesting design review approval for the exterior modifications to the property located at 108 Dorset Street. The subject property falls within Design District 1 of the City Center Design Review Overlay District. Pursuant to Section 11.01 of the South Burlington Land Development Regulations, these changes shall be subject to design review by the Design Review Committee (DRC) and the Development Review Board (DRB). 2. The Design Review Committee reviewed this application on May 21, 2007 and recommended that it come before the DRB for approval. 3. The owner of record of the subject property is David Ramsey. 4. The subject property is located in the Design District 1 of the City Center Design Review Overlay District. 5. The applicant is proposing to change the trim color at the entranceway on the railings and upright trim boards from `Sienna Sand' (a medium brown) to `Milkweed' (a lighter linen color). The Design Review Committee discussed the proposal and agreed that the proposed color change is an improvement. They unanimously recommended that the Development Review Board approve the application.. 6. All previous approvals and stipulations, which are not superseded by this approval, shall remain in effect. 2. The project shall be completed as shown on the information submitted by the applicant and on file in the South Burlington Department of Planning and Zoning. 3. Any change to the color proposed shall require approval by the South Burlington Development Review Board.
