HomeMy WebLinkAboutVR-95-0000 - Decision - 0100 Dorset StreetSTATE OF VERMONT COUNTY OF CHITTENDEN CITY OF SOUTH BURLINGTON _ Cf 5 C)UvD DECISION AND FINDING OF FACT On the 23rd day of October 1995 the South Burlington Zoning Board of Adjustment heard testimony regarding a variance application of Century Partners, L.P., Peter Judge, 100 Dorset Street. Based upon the testimony provided at the above mentioned public hearing and the documents submitted to the Zoning Board of Adjustment which are contained within the "document file" for this application, the Zoning Board finds, concludes, and decides as follows: Findings of Fact 1) The area in question is zoned Commercial I District. 2) Section 25.113 height of structures allows the Planning Commission to modify the maximum height to forty five (45) feet under PUD review. 3) The request would allow for roof gables at a height of 50 feet from finish grade. 4) Planning Commission granted approval of the structure at a height of forty- five (45) feet. 5) Building contains 35,000 g. f . a . at an overall length of 160 feet. r..nnnl»cinn 1) The roof gables are an architectural modifications to enhance the appearance of the building. 2) More of the structure is designed with a flat roof at a height of thirty-five (35) feet. 3) The roof gables are in scale with the overall building, and are designed to harmonize the structure with neighboring buildings. 5) As City Center is developed changes to the overall character of down -town should be reviewed by the Planning Commission. Based upon the findings and conclusion set -forth above, the Zoning Board of Adjustment hereby grants the applicants request to construct a 35,000 square foot building with roof gables at ig of fifty (50) feet located at 100 Dorset Street.
