South Burlington’s Draft Comprehensive Plan Keith is asking all committee members to review the entire draft Comprehensive Plan before our October 1st meeting: 
 www.sburl.com/planning. The plan was recently approved by the Planning Commission and is the city's roadmap to the future because it sets the goals and objectives that will guide community decision-making for the next generation. Please forward any suggested energy-related changes or additions to Ilona on or before Thursday, September 24, so she can consolidate them and Keith can then forward them to us with the rest of the pre-meeting documents. This will help us to efficiently use our meeting time for discussion and a potential vote approving committee input for the Planning Commission. Marketing Don recommended following Ara’s suggestion of running movie-preview questions/ads at Palace 9 for two months. We discussed the targeting power and cost of alternatives and decided to implement the recommendation. Grant Sam discovered a grant from a local business for which we can apply without being a 501(3)(c) organization (using our tax identification number). Patty will forward the preliminary information to Marcy so she can start the application. Ilona will need to submit the final draft of the application on behalf of the city. Thanks to Bret Benner Committee members signed a letter of thanks to Bret Benner for designing, building and donating the awesome low-flow- shower-head tipping bucket demonstration that was enjoyed by community members at CityFest. South Burlington Energy Prize Updates · Treasurer’s report: Marcy reported that we’ve spent $9,603.47 to date and have $25,321.06 on hand ($2,233.98 in the City of South Burlington General Fund and $23,087.08 in the Energy Prize Reserve Fund). She is awaiting payment requests for CityFest prizes, Rotary house parties, and neighborhood outreach. · Members shared key accomplishments, next steps, and requests for assistance as Keith scrolled through the pre- meeting written project update summary. Marcy added verbal updates on Property-Assessed Clean Energy (PACE), library electricity meter borrowing, and the committee’s FY2015 annual report. Motions MOTION: Karen moved and Don seconded a motion to approve the August minutes. Approved unanimously with one addition. MOTION: Keith moved and Sam seconded a motion to authorize spending of up to $1,500 (to include some design) to advertise for two months at the Palace 9 movie theatre. Approved unanimously. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at 8:20 p.m.
