The colors on the elevations do not match those on the renderings. The exterior materials key (Sheet Z26), presumably states the actual proposal. That’s fine with me. Only the south elevation ( Z21) labels which materials are used in which locations. Recommend that the decision state clearly that the symbols used on that plan sheet apply to the other plan sheets as well (Z22, Z23, Z24) 2. The landscape plan (LH-001) depicts an “Illuminated typology ribbon bench by landscape forms.” The Landscape Details (LH-002) does not use the term “illuminated”. Please have the applicant elaborate on what “illuminated” means in this context. 3. The landscape details shows a diƯerent type of bike rack, depicted as a “key” bike rack style. I’m comfortable that it meets the criteria of 13.03B2c. https://www.landscapeforms.com/en-us/Product%20Data/LF_Key_BikeRack_ProductData.pdf Paul Conner, AICP Director of Planning & Zoning City of South Burlington 180 Market Street, South Burlington, VT 05401 (802) 846-4106 www.sbvt.gov Notice - Under Vermont’s Public Records Act, all e-mail, e-mail attachments as well as paper copies of documents received or prepared for use in matters concerning City business, concerning a City official or staff, or containing information relating to City business are likely to be regarded as public records which may be inspected by any person upon request, unless otherwise made confidential by law. I am planning to send out comments today. While the project team has a lot of irons in the fire, I am trying to treat them fairly and keep our review of things moving along in the order in which things were received. Please send me your comments ASAP. While there are a few minor elements missing from the application, I believe it is ready for inter-departmental review. In terms of the roadway/driveway, we have gone around a bunch on which project should include the road. Ultimately, there are four projects that are being done by the same team on adjacent properties: Catamount Woods (phase 1 of master plan), the Rugby Field Housing (phase 2 of master plan), the hotel addition (this project), and the hotel parking garage (not yet submitted). Only the master plan involves subdivision of land, which is where roadway standards are housed in the LDR. In addition, no roadway improvements would be required for THIS hotel addition project. Therefore we’ve decided to keep the review of the roadway modifications as part of the master plan, albeit some of the road will be considered “off site improvements” for the purposes of that application. That all being said, we are asking for an IOD for the right of way on the Doubletree site as part of this application, so that the master plan does not involve dedication of off-property land. Project description: Site plan applicaƟon #SP-24-08 of AAM Burlington Hotel LLC to amend a previously approved plan for a 309 room hotel and conference center. The amendment consists of removing a wing on the west side of the building containing 58 rooms and adding a four-story wing containing 70 rooms on the south side of the building, 870 Williston Road. Since this is an admin site plan, there is technically no deadline, but I am requesting you provide your comments by 3/1 Direct link to project folder: SP-24-08_Williston Rd #870_Doubletree_FBC Keep in mind you can always navigate to this folder from the Development Review sharepoint site.
