HomeMy WebLinkAboutSD-24-16 - Supplemental - 1200 Airport Drive (9)1 Marla Keene From:Tom DiPietro Sent:Friday, August 2, 2024 4:11 PM To:Marla Keene Subject:Re: SD-24-15 197 Rear Autumn Hill Rd - technical review Marla, I would like to offer the following comments on the Airport sketch plan application:  The airport may need to obtain additional wastewater and water allocation for the proposed expansion. Please check with the appropriate DPW staff to determine this prior to a future submissions.  Additional information related to stormwater treatment will be necessary in a future submission.  The recreation path, and any work in a City ROW, must be constructed in accordance with the South Burlington Public Works Standards and Specifications.  Maintenance of the recreation path should be discussed at a future meeting.  Provide more detail on the road crossings that are part of the the recreation path in a future submission.  Will the sidewalk in front of existing homes on Airport Drive be changed as part of the recreation path project? Will the sidewalk on Airport Drive south of Airport Road be changed as part of the recreation path project?  Will the sidewalk on Dumont Avenue, Airport Parkway, or Kirby Road be changed as part of the recreation path project?  Does the project propose any new crosswalks on Airport drive?  Does the project propose any changes in the Kirby Road ROW located to the east of Airport Parkway? Thank you for the opportunity to comment. -Tom From: Marla Keene <mkeene@southburlingtonvt.gov> Sent: Thursday, August 1, 2024 4:24 PM To: Paul Conner <pconner@southburlingtonvt.gov>; Tom DiPietro <tdipietro@southburlingtonvt.gov>; Terry Francis <tfrancis@southburlingtonvt.gov>; Casey Follensbee <cfollensbee@southburlingtonvt.gov>; Erica Quallen <equallen@southburlingtonvt.gov>; Marisa Rorabaugh <MRorabaugh@southburlingtonvt.gov>; Jay Nadeau <jay.nadeau@champlainwater.org> Subject: RE: SD-24-15 197 Rear Autumn Hill Rd - technical review Hi folks, 2 The Airport is preparing for the expansion at the north side of the terminal and is now required to submit a master plan application before they can move that project forward. They have accordingly submitted the below-linked master plan sketch plan application which will be reviewed by the Board at their next hearing on September 4. This is a somewhat unusual master plan because none of the phases touch each other, and some of you may not have any comments. I am particularly looking for comments pertaining to City infrastructure or regulations that may affect the proposed phases in the next 10-year period. The application package contains more information about the terminal expansion, phase 1, than it does about the other phases. Please provide comments by Wednesday August 21. Draft project description: Master plan sketch plan application #SD-24-16 of City of Burlington, Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport to establish a master plan for an approximately 901.6-acre existing airport complex. The master plan includes six phases over 21.8 acres and consists of a 28,000 sf north terminal expansion, a 4.0 acre multi-use path, a 8.3 acre maintenance complex with 41,500 sf building, a 3.4 acre apron expansion, a 2.3 acre project involving hangar and apron expansion, and a 25,000 sf south terminal expansion, 1200 Airport Drive.
