Fischer of 140 Country Club Estates, whose property lies adjacent to that of Martin Beauvais. He is opposed to any zoning permit being issued to Mr. Beauvais to use the premises for a group home, clinic, nursing home, or boarding house. Consequently, should the application for variance be renewed, we would appreciate being advised so that Mr. Fischer could be heard. Thank you very much. Very truly/yours, Paul R. Burlington, Vermont 05401 Dear Mr. Ward: Howard Mental Health Services, Inc. is petitioning the Town of South Burlington to grant a variance or special exception in regard to a home owned by Martin Beauvais at 148 Country Club Drive. It is within the development known as Country Club Estates. The Developmental Disabilities unit of our agency wishes to operate a group home for no more than six adults who are developmentally disabled. There will be two permanent live—in staff members and an occasional guest on a short time basis. The house is large enough to accomodate eight people without any difficulty. The lot is also large — about one acre in size. Most of the residents will be regularly attending the Champlain Sheltered Workshop at Fort Ethan Allen and other community activities, some will also be going to work. There are approximately 35 people with Developmental Disabilities already living in Chittenden County residing in alternate care residences. These people do not represent a disturbance or threat in any neighborhood and are easily integrated into the community. Thank you for your consideration.
