Measurement of the wall sign that was existing that we would like to reuse the location is 3’ x 17’ The yard sign is 60” x 35” Please see attached pictures. Please let me know if you need exact pictures of the renderings. They are being designed as we speak. Basically they will be black signs with gold or white lettering that will say Aruzza’s Automotive with a logo. Thank you so much for your help! 1 Marty Gillies From:Chris Aruzza <chris@tlcnursing.com> Sent:Wednesday, April 24, 2024 11:09 AM To:Marty Gillies Cc:Aruzza's Auto Subject:Re: 'EXTERNAL'Re: Sign Permit Hi Marty, I did some remeasuring. I guess it actually helps to actually measure instead of eyeball things. The sign is 22.5 Feet from the edge of the pavement so it is close. Once the sign gets made I can move it the 2.5 feet. Let me know if this needs to be done before approval. I may get new posts for it anyway so the old posts need to be removed. I would like to do this once the sign is made so I can visualize how it will be mounted. Thanks! On Wed, Apr 17, 2024 at 1:20 PM Chris Aruzza <chris@tlcnursing.com> wrote: Thanks Marty! No problem. Let me do some re-measuring and I can move it if needed. Thank you for your time! Unfortunately, like I mentioned earlier, our regulations require that we confirm that all free-standing signs are at least 5 feet from property lines. Your response that the sign is roughly 5 feet from the road does not quite satisfy this requirement of the regulations. The screenshot below shows what appears to be an existing sign that is approximately 3 feet from the edge of the property line, since the Dorset Street right-of-way extends beyond the edge of the pavement. According to our online map, the distance from the edge of pavement to your property line is approximately 20 feet from the edge of pavement and exactly 33 feet from the existing center line of the road. As a result, in order to be approvable, your sign will have to be at least 38 feet from the center line of Dorset Street and approximately 25 feet from the edge of the pavement there. If the existing sign location is not far enough away from the road, you will have to relocate it to come into compliance with this regulation. However, if you can demonstrate that the existing sign is far enough away, then you can install your new sign in that same exact spot.
