HomeMy WebLinkAboutSP-24-002 - Supplemental - 0154 da Vinci Drive (3) Stantec Consulting Services Inc. 193 Tilley Drive, Suite 101 South Burlington VT 05403-4440 November 10, 2023 Ms. Marla Keene Development Review Planner City of South Burlington 180 Market Street South Burlington, VT 05403 Reference: Beta Production Facility (BPF) – SD-21-28 Site Plan and Zoning Permit Application for Tree Removal Mitigation Supporting Documentation – Record Drawings for Permit Ms. Keene, The removal of trees noted during your Certificate of Occupancy (CO) inspection associated with SD-21-28 for the BETA Assembly facility, required mitigation to be addressed through a concurrent site plan and zoning permit application. In total three trees were removed during construction, one by the utility company to accommodate overhead utility installations and two by the project. To mitigate the tree removal, the applicant has proposed a solution that thoughtfully positions new trees at the entrance of the site and in the vicinity of the removed trees. The trees were replaced on a caliper, inch-by-inch basis. Total Caliper of three (3) trees removed: 80” Total Caliper of eighteen (18) replacement trees: 81”-84” The applicant has provided concurrent site plan and zoning permit applications with requested supporting documentation, including a site plan depicting the new tree locations and a revised tree protection plan for staff consideration.
