Re: 1879 Williston Road, South Burlington
Dear Mr. Boddison
It is our understanding that you are seeking to convert the space previously occupied by Threshold Training at
1879 Williston Road into Light Industrial Office Space. It is also our understanding that The Lifestyle Athlete
and Rehabilitation will continue to utilize the remaining space in the existing building.
Based on information provided by the current owners, there are a total of 97 participants (with showers), 1
trainer, and 3 employees (non-trainer) per day. In accordance with the State of Vermont Agency of Natural
Resources, Department of Environmental Conservation, Drinking and Groundwater Protection Division,
Environmental Protection Rules, Chapter 1, Wastewater System and Potable Water Supply Rules (referred to
as “Rules”), effective November 6, 2023, the estimated average water and sewer demand for the current use is
860 gallons per day.
Based on the information provided by you, there are a total of 12 office employees (with showers) anticipated
for the proposed new use, plus an existing 20 participants (with showers) and 3 employees (non-trainer) in
the remaining space. Based on the Rules, the estimated average water and sewer demand for the proposed use
is 439 gallons per day.
Based on our review and analysis of the above information, the estimated water and sewer demand for the
current use is 860 gpd. The proposed use has an estimated water and sewer demand of 439 gpd. As the
proposed use has an estimated water and sewer demand less than the 860 gpd for the current use, no additional
water or sewer allocation is required. As the City staff has indicated they have not allocation records for this
building, at their direction, we have prepared the attached City of South Burlington Application for Wastewater
Allocation.
Respectfully,
Jeffrey P. Kershner, P.E.
President
