We have not found historical allocation for the existing Palace 9 movie theater. For this calculation we are going to review flows based on the State of Vermont Chapter 1 – Wastewater System and Potable Water Supply Rules. We feel if we compare the values using the same regulations, it provides us with the most consistent comparison. Existing Use – 9 Theater Movie Complex with Food Concession and ±1,000 seats  1,000 seats * 3 GPD per seat = 3,000 GPD  1 Concession Area = 100 GPD  Total = 3,100 GPD Proposed Use 1. ±14,900 s.f. of the building will be used for the proposed Indoor Recreation Facility. We feel the following calculation is a conservative evaluation for the number or persons using the facility.  ±40 participants * 8 GPD per participant with showers = 320 GPD  ±40 spectators * 3 GPD per Spectator = 120 GPD (high unlikely amount)  ±5 employees * 13 GPD per employee = 65 GPD  Total for this portion of the building = 505 GPD 2. ±5,700 s.f. of the building – Unknown at this time. This change in use will heavily reduce the amount of water/sewer used in the building. The project is not revising the utility connections and the existing infrastructure will be able to handle the reduction in flow. If needed, we will generate an Engineers Certification to be recorded in City Records for the change in use and reduction in flow. Sincerely, Greg Dixson, P.E.
