RE:Kid Logic – 530 Community Drive, South Burlington
Dear Michael:
The project located at 530 Community Drive in South Burlington, VT proposes to increase the
water demand and sewer design flow of the existing daycare to accommodate additional
students and staff. The project is exempt from State wastewater permitting requirements under
exemptions described in Section 1-304, (13) and (14) of the State of Vermont Wastewater System
and Potable Water Supply Rules dated April 12, 2019. This certification letter is in response to
Condition B of Section 1-304, (13) and Condition C of Section 1-304, (14) of the above
referenced rules.
Listed below is a brief summary of our findings:
1.The existing building is currently connected to the City of South Burlington municipal water
supply and wastewater treatment system.
2.The existing water and sewer services are sized adequately for the commercial building.
3.The allocated and permitted totals for the building of 20,000 GPD of water and 20,000 GPD
for sewer have not yet been exceeded. Increasing staff and students to total 28 and 121,
respectively, will increase total wastewater flow for the building from 16,648 GPD to 16,739
GPD, and water demand from 18,570 to 18,664 GPD. A surplus of 3,261 GPD wastewater
and 1,336 GPD water remains.
Based on the above observations, this letter can serve as confirmation that the water and sewer
services are appropriately sized to accommodate the change for the daycare. This letter is not
intended to imply any type of warranty or guarantee from the engineer since both the use and
maintenance are beyond our control. Per Condition D of Section 1-304, (13) and Condition E of
Section 1-304, (14) this letter should be recorded and indexed in the South Burlington Land
Records.
Very truly yours,
