Please see attached. I will have First Response put the correct opaque covering on the dumpster gate. I will also make sure that the northern bike rack you spoke of will meet requirements and will be secured and stabilized. Andrew Ede | Asset Manager | Redstone Mailing Address: P.O. Please revise the screenshot that is being used as your plan sheet to identify the existing/proposed snow storage areas. Please revise the screenshot to include a date, title, and author name. Thank you! I’ll get started on drafting an approval for this application – in the meantime, I have a few final items for your attention: - Field #2 (property owner) is not filled out on the application form. Please update and re-submit. - The provided estimate from First Response Labor identifies the dumpster fence as being transparent; please note that dumpster enclosures must be opaque. The contractor can add privacy slats if the fence is proposed to be chain link. Please submit plans, a revised estimate, or an acknowledgment in response to this email that demonstrates that the proposed dumpster enclosure will be opaque. - One of the three proposed bike rack locations appears to be on grass; please note that the bike racks must be installed on a paved or concrete surface, and must be bolted into the ground. Please submit plans or an 3 acknowledgement in response to this email that demonstrates that the proposed bike racks will meet those requirements & will be secured to a stabilized surface. You have paid for all applicable permits – thank you for that! Please note that your payment included the Certificate of Occupancy inspection fee – we can come to inspect for your CO as soon as the project is complete, but please note that we cannot issue the CO until all aspects of the projects are done, including the installation of the bike racks and dumpster enclosure. I’ll go ahead and prepare a draft approval for this application but cannot officially issue the Site Plan and Zoning Permit approvals until we clean up the three items identified above. Let me know if you have any questions or need any support in addressing those items! Please use proper judgment and caution when opening attachments, clicking links, or responding to this email. Good afternoon. I believe I have all the required information that is needed. Please find attached: - Permit application signed by owner Brian Huber. - Plans which include property lines, scale, north arrow, dimensions of the concrete pad, and the locations for future installation of 3 spot bike racks. - The bike rack design - An estimate from First Response Labor for the dumpsters to comply with the minimum requirements, to be completed after the pad installation. 4 Please reach out with any questions, after discussing this permit with you over the phone I believe it to be completed to your requirements. I was able to take a look through those applications and have the following feedback: · The fee for an Administrative Site Plan application is $153. Our minimum fee for a Zoning Permit is $43 ($30 + a $13 digitization fee). At the time of Zoning Permit application, we require the applicant to also pay the fee for the Certificate of Occupancy application, which is another $153. As a result, the applicant at this time owes a total of $349. We received a check for $30 which I am holding here at our office – we will need to receive the full permit fee before we can issue any permits. · In checking our records, it doesn’t appear that Redstone owns the property on which the project is proposed – maybe I’m misunderstanding something, but the application form requires the property owner’s signature or authorization, and I don’t believe that Andrew Ede is eligible to sign as the property owner. · All plans submitted to our office need to be scaled and include property lines and a north arrow to orient the viewer. We also need to see the dimensions of the proposed concrete pad identified on the plan. Additionally, all Site Plan applications in South Burlington trigger compliance with our minimum bike parking standards and our dumpster enclosure standards. · The minimum number of short-term bike parking spaces required for this development is 1 per every 5,000 square feet of GFA, or a total of 9 bike parking spaces. One ‘inverted-U’ style bike rack provides 2 bike parking spaces. In instances where the building on a property has multiple primary entrances, the regulations require the bike parking spaces to be spread out across the property to serve as many entrances as possible. The regulations also require bike racks to be ‘secured to a stabilized surface’ – we normally see property owners anchoring bike racks to concrete pads to comply with this criterion. Let me know if you have any questions on this requirement – we will need to see an updated plan showing any existing bike racks/all proposed bike racks before we can issue this permit. 5 · All dumpsters in South Burlington have to be enclosed an all four sides with opaque fencing that is at least as tall as the dumpster is. We will need to see your plans for complying with this requirement before we can issue this permit. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to discuss any part of this email further!
