5:37 p.m. Review of Library exits
5:37 p.m. There are no additions or deletions to the posted agenda
5:38 p.m. Comments and questions from the public not related to items on the agenda – no members of the public are present.
5:39 p.m. Approve minutes from May 18, 2023 meeting ACTION
Discussion of changing date in minutes from June 22 to June 15 (for next meeting).
Holly moves to approve. Penne seconds. Passes unanimously.
5:40 p.m. Communications Projects
• “Read Local” window clings/Reading bags Thank you to Penne for designing the clings! They have arrived and look great. Per email from Jennifer, the staff are very happy. Distribution is beginning with the intention to include in adult reading bags.
Reading bags have not arrived yet.
• Library Pop-up Tent/Tabling? SB Night Out schedule is up. Library will table 2-3 weeks but we don’t know which weeks yet. Waiting to hear from Director Murray about the Library’s presence at this recurring event. Discussion of branded pop-up tent for tabling at outdoor events. Members will research costs for tents and pass along information to Jennifer with goal of purchasing by next communications committee meeting.
• Strat Plan collateral No updates on strategic plan PDF formatting. 6:00 p.m. Communications Planning Framework Working Session Discussion of Penne’s wordsmithing edits to Objectives. Work session to make Objectives 1 and 2 SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and timebound). Discussion of Objectives 3, 4, and 5 will continue at next meeting.
6:32 p.m. Review of library calendar for upcoming amplification opportunities. Juneteenth event is Monday, June 19 and will be a city sponsored event. Penne will amplify on social media. Trustees are encouraged to attend.
