WATER AND WASTEWATER BASIS OF DESIGN:
THIS PROJECT PROPOSES THE FOLLOWING USES:
·5 BEDROOM HOME WITH 1 BEDROOM ACCESSORY APARTMENT AT 600 SPEAR STREET TO REMAIN
·EXISTING METAL BUILDING TO REMAIN WITH UP TO 10 EMPLOYEES
·32 NEW 2-BEDROOM UNITS (EIGHT BUILDINGS WITH 4 UNITS EACH)
PROPOSED WASTEWATER DEMAND (BASED ON VT EPR CH 1, DATED 4/12/19):
·EXISTING 5 BEDROOM HOME = 5*140 = 700 GPD
·EXISTING 1 BEDROOM HOME APARTMENT = 1*140 = 140 GPD
·METAL BUILDING WITH 10 EMPLOYEES = 10*15 = 150 GPD
·32 NEW 2-BEDROOM UNITS = 32*210 = 6720 GPD
·INFILTRATION FOR 546' OF 4" SEWER = 124 GPD
·INFILTRATION FOR 844' OF 8" SEWER = 384 GPD
TOTAL PROPOSED WASTEWATER DEMAND = 7728 GPD
PROPOSED WATER DEMAND (BASED ON VERMONT WATER SUPPLY RULE, DATED 3/17/20):
·EXISTING 5 BEDROOM HOME = 5*150 = 750 GPD
·EXISTING 1 BEDROOM HOME APARTMENT = 1*150 = 150 GPD
·METAL BUILDING WITH 10 EMPLOYEES = 10*15 = 150 GPD
·32 NEW 2-BEDROOM UNITS = 32*300 = 9600 GPD
·10% REDUCTION FOR LOW FLOW = -1065 GPD
TOTAL PROPOSED WATER DEMAND = 9585 GPD
