Hi Marla – While still not ideal from the user’s perspective, I’m also ok with the design.
Thanks!
Erica

Hi Marla and Erica,
I swung by the project site this morning. This alternative is acceptable to CWD.
Thanks,
Nate

Hi Nate and Erica,

Having come into this conversation a bit late, I don’t feel qualified to definitively say whether this revised configuration
has addressed everyone’s concerns to the maximum extent feasible. Understanding that it is never going to be perfect
from either a transmission main perspective or a sidewalk configuration perspective, it does seem they’ve struck a
balance. Is this configuration something we can all live with?

Good morning all,
For the residential project at 600 Spear Street, we have revised the bike path connection location and layout, please see
attached. The connection is now proposed north of the previously shown crossing where there is less of a grade change.
The new layout is ~4% slope so there is no need for handrails and, because this location has less grade change, the
sidewalk span is shorter and requires less grading/fill over the utilities than the previous layout.
Once you have had a chance to review, let us know what you think about this crossing and if you have any questions or
concerns.
Thanks,
Lucy
