Good morning,
This is the first we have heard of this project, so not having had opportunity to meet/talk to the owners, we are leaving
a broad statement on restricting access points to the building for both ground and aerial access. Type and size of trees
can be problematic if they are located at the only spot we can ladder a building because of slopes, bushes or branches.
Often times slight adjustments need to be made which could cause issues for you folks as things are not where initially
they were approved to be.

Hi Terry, Can you please provide specific comments on what needs to change about the landscaping? The remainder of
the comments pertain to the interior of the building. Let me know if they have not yet contacted you and I will pass
along your information to them.
Thanks,

Marty,
The owner will need an engineering study to see if the existing building can support the addition load of second and
third floor additions. The business occupancy below is an automotive store and warehouse. The will require a Code
analyses for fire separation as the automotive section is a higher hazard group and may not be allowed under a
residential occupancy without significant modifications. The existing sprinkler system also needs to be reviewed for
adequate design, volume and pressures for the new occupancies being proposed. This may involve some of the existing
sprinkler heads being sent off for third party testing pursuant to NFPA 13requirement, given the age of the existing
system. Landscaping may need modification to allow aerial access to the additions.

Hi everyone,
This application will be reviewed by the Board at the December 6 DRB hearing. This is a conversion of commercial space
to some apartments. Issues that are apparent to us are zoning related and FD interior related (FD, let me know if you’d
like me to steer them to you). This is a site plan application so this will be the Board’s only review of the project. Please
provide comments by no later than Monday November 28.
Just a reminder, comments you provide are inserted directly into the staff report for the project, so please frame your
response for public consumption.
Project Description
Site plan application #SP-22-039 of David Hauke to amend a previously approved site plan for a 21,420 sq. ft. mixed use
building. The amendment consists of constructing a 3,550 sf third story addition, which will be combined with 4,600 sf
of existing building and used as six (6) residential units, with 16,605 sf commercial space to remain, 370 Shelburne Road.
