Hi Marla,
Looking at the plan on the drop-off area, I’m wondering if the thick black line is supposed to be curb and then a single
striped line around it? That would be my guess but if not, I’m not sure what they were going for and would also want
clarification. It may be worth asking for a striping plan because the crosswalk markings they are showing is not would be
wanted. I would assume they should be piano key markings rather than the dashed markings they are showing.

Hey Tom, there are some weird things that I’m seeing on this plan that I wanted to flag for you, Erica and Dave… there is
a landscape island in between the drop off zone and the main driveway that has an unlabeled double line around the
perimeter. They’ve included some pavement markings, particularly on the drop off area, that are sort of dubious. I’m
also suspicious of the lack of spot grades on retaining walls. As a heads up.

This application will be reviewed by the Board at the August 3 DRB hearing. This is the last review of the UVMMC
Outpatient Surgery Center project. Please provide comments by this Friday July 22 if possible. I will be publishing my
report in the morning of July 27.
Just a reminder, comments you provide are inserted directly into the staff report for the project, so please frame your
response for public consumption.
Project Description
Site plan application #SP-22-032 of UVM Medical Center to construct a one and a half story 84,006 sf medical office and
outpatient facility with associated parking, equipment and stormwater treatment on an existing undeveloped 13.5 acre
lot, 119 Tilley Drive.
