The City provided letters stating the City of South Burlington’s Water System has the water storage capacity to meet the water demands of this project. From a pressure standpoint, our water system has the quantity, quality, and pressure requirements available to serve the proposed project. Therefore, the City of South Burlington staff, in accordance with its Land Development Regulations, shall propose to its legislative body that the body accept the project and all its public infrastructure at such time the project is ready for conveyance to the City. Said acceptance will include the project’s water system as an extension of the City’s water system and the City will operate, manage, maintain and oversee the system extension in accordance with the City of South Burlington’s Water Ordinance. This acceptance shall occur after full project completion and certification by the project owner that the project has met all its various permit requirements. Any testing, inspections, or certifications required by the State of Vermont and/or the City of South Burlington in relation to the new water system infrastructure will be conducted by or under the supervision of the engineer responsible for the project. All applicable test, inspection and certification results shall be supplied to the City of South Burlington’s Water Division. Water shall only be provided upon satisfaction of all applicable State and local standards and upon written authorization by the City of South Burlington. The City shall be responsible for providing water at adequate quantity and quality in accordance with applicable State regulations and the City’s existing Permit to Operate. Upon authorization by South Burlington, authorized service to new users shall be covered under and subject to the terms of the existing Permit to Operate.
