Dear Marla Keene,
On behalf of BTV Hotel, LLC Stantec is requesting to include the changes listed below to the administrative site plan
application to amend previous decision SD-20-22 submitted on April 8th, 2022 and revised May 5th 2022 (additional room).
Summary of Revisions.
• The building exterior elevations and renderings were changed to modify the size of the air intakes for the room air
conditioners.
• The approved version had smaller grilles. The change has been prompted by the actual equipment specified by
the successful mechanical contractor. These elements will be painted to match the surrounding material.
• Two pieces of rooftop mechanical equipment are being shown on the plans and elevations. This equipment provides make up air to the occupied spaces. The elevation of the equipment complies with the maximum height permitted by the DRB.
• The site plan has been modified to eliminate a previously approved diesel generator and a cooling tower that shared a pad adjacent to the existing garage. The previous pad location is now shown as lawn space.

Subject:RE: 'EXTERNAL'Update on minor plan changes (Airport Hotel)
Hi Greg:
Thank you for sending over, Marla and I reviewed this together and we think the changes do not need DRB review, they
can be covered by an administrative site plan amendment. And as we still have to complete the amendment for the
change in the number of rooms our advice is to update the plans to incorporate these changes into that application.
Today is my final day with South Burlington, I have accepted a new position in another part of the State. Staff here will
work with you on this. In the interim until they replace my position, you can use this email
planning@southburlingtonvt.gov for any zoning questions.
Thank you,

Dalila,
Please find attached two renderings and a set of construction drawings for the BTV Hotel project.
They illustrate some small adjustments that I think you will want to review.
1. The building exterior elevations and renderings were changed to modify the size of the air intakes for the room
air conditioners.
The approved version had smaller grilles. The change has been prompted by the actual equipment specified by
the successful mechanical contractor.
These elements will be painted to match the surrounding material.

2. Two pieces of rooftop mechanical equipment are being shown on the plans and elevations. (They exist in the
rendered models but do not show in the views selected.)
This equipment provides make up air to the occupied spaces. The elevation of the equipment complies with the
maximum height permitted by the DRB
3. For purposes of communicating with Act 250, we have indicated where wall mounted signs are proposed. We
understand that an application in compliance with the South Burlington sign ordinance is required. We are
working to select a vendor.
Not Shown on my drawings, but the site plan has been modified to eliminate a previously approved diesel generator and
a cooling tower that shared a pad adjacent to the existing garage. The pad location will be shown as lawn space. I would
not consider these changes to be major changes, and I’m hopeful this can be treated administratively. I am ready to
discuss this with you in person or via phone call. Please let me know if I can provide anything to help you in your
determination.
Thanks
