Re: Ho Hum Conversion

Dear Michael:
We are writing to confirm the action of the Vermont Housing and Conservation Board at their
meeting on July 8, 2021, on the Champlain Housing Trust, Inc.’s application for funding of the
Ho Hum Conversion project.
The Board voted to award Champlain Housing Trust, Inc. ARPA-SFR funds in the amount of up
to Nine Hundred and Fifty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($957,000) for rehabilitation and related
expenses. This award is subject to the restrictions and conditions of Attachment “A” of the
VHCB/ARPA Agreement.
The agreement will be sent out with the project’s closing packet to be signed when the project
is ready to close. In order to assist you in preparing for the closing, however, we’ve attached the
Affordability and Conveyance Restrictions and Special Conditions for the award from the board
meeting, along with the Standard Conditions. If you would like a copy of the loan agreement
template for informational purposes, please let us know and we’d be happy to send it to you.
VHCB is funded by the taxpayers of the State of Vermont at the direction of the General Assembly.
If feasible, an appropriate sign or placard shall be displayed at the project recognizing VHCB
involvement and that VHCB funds are derived from the General Assembly.
Under Vermont's law on information held by public agencies, the public has a right to inspect
and copy the information contained in this letter. So, in addition to a press release prepared by
VHCB about the award, VHCB will provide information about it to the public if we are requested
to do so. Please keep this VHCB policy in mind as you develop policy and procedures on release
of information by your organization. If you have questions about this VHCB practice, call our
legal staff.
