Hi Tina,
Thank you for the site visit recap. I passed the updated flag locations on to Brandon's engineer and they will adjust the
site plan so that the road is sufficiently outside of the wetland. They will include appropriate documentation to show
that the entire wetland will be kept in agricultural (grazing) use. From your sketch: The primary wetland was closer to
Cheesefactory Road, your star is near the skinny part that we determined continues south to the larger wetland near the
field edge. I can send you a better sketch of the wetland boundary if you would like that for your records. Thanks again,
Joe

Hi Joe,

Thanks for meeting with myself and Elijah on 5/12. I wanted to recap our site visit and attached is a preliminary
wetland classification report for your records.
We reviewed the delineated ag wetland. I found hydric soils and hydrology that continued south towards the
larger wetland complex. Based on these findings the wetland is presumptively Class II assuming that it
connects to this larger system. The delineation in the project area was adjusted and accepted.
If the subject wetland continues to stay in active ag use then a permit is not required for infrastructure within
50-feet of the wetland. I will need to review a site plan that clearly indicates the wetland remains in ag use and
will not be associated with the subdivision. The wetland will need to stay within the property/boundary lines of
Bread and Butter Farm in order to pass the “straight face” test.
If wetland is impacted by the access drive or stormwater infrastructure, the wetland is back in play and
jurisdictional, along with it’s 50-foot buffer zone and will require permitting. We will be pushing for complete
avoidance of impact for the stormwater infrastructure.
To confirm, were these areas investigated for wetlands? See blue outline in image below. This is near the
proposed level spreader.
Let me know if you have any questions, and keep me in the loop as plans are updated.

Best,

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Agency of Natural Resources is taking additional safety measures to protect our employees, partners and
customers. We anticipate we will be working remotely until a least March 31, 2021 and encourage you to communicate electronically or via phone
to the greatest extent possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding that responses may occasionally be delayed.
