SOUTH BURLINGTON FLOW RESTORATION PROJECT
PB0050: LINDENWOOD DRIVE
INFILTRATION TESTING REPORT
April 10, 2018
Engineering Ventures performed infiltration feasibility testing at the eastern end of Lindenwold,
in the area of a proposed infiltration facility, on December 19, 2017. Soil Borings were
performed by Mike’s Boring and Coring, LLC on December 12, 2017 at locations recommended
by Engineering Ventures. A 4” diameter vertical PVC pipe was installed and capped during the
boring work for the infiltration test. The elevation of the bottom of the 4” diameter PVC was
approximately 206.0 (Approximately 6’ below existing grade at the infiltration testing location).
A Borehole Infiltration Test was performed at the location, using Section 4.3.3.2.5 of the
Vermont Stormwater Treatment Standards, latest revision as a guideline. The test involved
filling the 4” PVC with 24” of water, and monitoring the water level by measuring the drop from
the top of the casing for 30 min. This procedure was repeated until a stable infiltration rate was
obtained, with the 4” PVC being refilled to be at the initial 24” water level mark. The results of
the test performed are shown in the following table:
