These changes include minor modifications to the Mixed-Use building which have resulted in changes to the wastewater design flows for the Project, as summarized below. On behalf of the landowner, Champlain School Apartment Partnership, VHB is requesting additional allocation in the amount of 686 GPD for the Mixed-Use building, there are no changes proposed for the previously permitted Holiday Inn and Hampton Inn buildings. Wastewater Demand The newly proposed wastewater design flows for the modifications to the Mixed-Use building are calculated below, followed by a table summarizing the previously allocated flows and proposed flows: Table 1 Proposed Wastewater Design Flow Calculations* Mixed-Use Building Use Quantity Unit GPD/Unit Wastewater Design Flow (GPD) Residential Use -Studio/One Bedroom Units** 72 Living Unit 140 10,080 -Two Bedroom Units 11 Living Unit 210 2,310 Store 5,789 Per 100 SF 4 232 Total 12,622 *Based on the State Environmental Protection Rules, Chapter 1, Subchapter 8, Table 8-1 and Table 8-3 **Based on design flow of 70 gallons per day per person at the max. residential occupancy proposed for each living unit Department of Public Works Ref: 57913.01 May 25, 2022 Page 2 Table 2 Project Wastewater Design Flow Summary Building Previously Permitted Flow (GPD) Change (GPD) Proposed Flow (GPD) Holiday Inn 18,840 0 18,840 Hampton Inn 24,235 0 24,235 Mixed-Use 11,936 +686 12,622 Total 55,011 +686 55,697 The previously allocated wastewater demand for this parcel based on tabulated-unitized flows from proposed uses is 55,011 GPD. The proposed wastewater demands for this parcel are 18,840 GPD for the Holiday Inn building, 24,235 GPD for the Hampton Inn building, and 12,622 GPD for the Mixed-Use building for a total combined demand of 55,697 GPD. This represents an increase of 686 GPD. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information.
