HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 05/03/1990CITY COUNCIL 3 MAY 1990 The South Burlington City Council held a special meeting on May 3, 1990 at 8:00 PM in the Conference Room, City Hall, 575 Dorset Street. Members Present Paul Farrar, Chairman; John Dinklage, William Cimonetti, Mike Flaherty Also Present Charles Hafter, City Manager; Sid Poger, The Other Paper 1. Comments and Questions from the Public (not related to Agenda Items) No issues were raised. 2. Resolution to Increase Tipping Fees at the South Burlington Landfill to Comply with 23 VSA 1007. John Dinklage moved to waive the reading of the Resolution. Mike Flaherty seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Mike Flaherty moved to amend the second paragraph of the Resolution to state: "The following fee schedule shall apply to waste generated within the City of South Burlington. Waste generated outside the City of South Burlinton shall not be disposed of within the South Burlington Landfill." John Dinklage seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Mike Flaherty moved adoption of the Resolution as amended. John Dinklage seconded. The motion passed unanimously. 3. Meet as Liquor Control Board Mike Flaherty moved that Council adjourn and meet as the Liquor Control Board. Bill Cimonetti seconded. The motion passed unanimously. Bill Cimonetti moved the approval of Beverage License Renewals for A&P Restaurants and for Papa Gino's of Vermont. Mike Flaherty seconded. The motion passed unanimously. 4. Executive Session Mike Flaherty moved entering executive session for the purpose of discussing Dorset Street litigation involving utilities and to hold deliberations on Dorset Street Damage Compensation Awards. John Dinklage seconded. The motion Passed unanimously. 5. Adjournment Council reentered regular session. Bill Cimonetti moved to adjourn. Mike Flaherty seconded. The meeting adjourned at 10:05.
