Condition of Approval for #ZP-22-184
1. See attached Exhibit
2. The plan is to push all of the stumps into piles (brown piles shown on attachment) at the edge of
the pavement.
3. Once that is done, the trucks (shown in yellow) will be loaded. Those trucks will never drive on
anything but pavement, and therefore will not be picking up or subsequently tracking any mud.
4. Once that done the trees and shrubs will be delivered by a truck that has a boom on it and that
truck will park on the pavement and unload them onto the shoulder.
5. They will be picked up from there with a small tractor with forks and placed into the holes that
will be dug by an excavator.
6. After that the topsoil will be spread around, seed and mulch will be installed, the machinery will
be picked up, the asphalt will be swept.

Maintenance Plan for the Tree Reclamation Area located on
a portion of Lot #1 in South Village Communities.
The intent of this Management Plan is to ensure that remaining trees and shrubs
are protected and proposed new plantings are maintained and protected. This
management plan has been revised in accordance with the Conditions of
Approval of application #SP-21-039 from the South Burlington Development
Review Board. Construction sequencing and planting notes as well as the specific
location, size and type of plantings can be seen on the approved landscape plan
titled: L-100 South Village – Lot 1, Tree Reclamation Plan, dated 02/25/2021 and
last revised on 3/17/22 and prepared by T.J. Boyle & Associates, LLC. This plan
was revised on 3/17/22 in order to meet the Conditions of Approval referenced
above.
Maintenance Plan:
1. No maintenance shall occur unless specifically outlined in this plan.
2. Only woody exotic/invasive shrubs and trees or “hazard” trees that are
posing a safety threat to people using either the existing bike path may be
removed. The most prominent species of concern are the woody
exotic/invasives known as glossy buckthorn, smooth buckthorn,
honeysuckle and Amur maple.
3. After initial Construction Sequencing, no mechanical equipment with the
exception of a chainsaw shall be used to remove dead trees or invasive
trees and shrubs.
4. All trees and shrubs in the area labelled existing woods on Exhibit A shall
remain unless otherwise noted in this Management Plan.
5. The grass seed is intended to keep all exotic/invasive shrubs, trees and
grasses seeds from germinating. This area will be mowed for at least the
first 3 years.
6. The maintenance of the plantings, shrubs and grasses within this area will
be the responsibility of South Village Communities LLC and or the South
Village Homeowners Association
