HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 09/30/1985CITY COUNCIL SEPTEMBER 30, 1985 The South Burlington City Council held a Special Meeting on Monday, September 30, 1985 at 7:00 PM in the Conference Room, City Hall, Dorset Street. Members Present Paul Farrar, Chairman; Leona Lansing, George Mona, Frank Murray Others Present Peggy Picard, City Clerk/Treasurer; Gloria Yandow, Bookkeeper; Frank Mazur, Vin D'Acuti. Chairman Farrar opened the meeting at 7:00 PM and requested that one (1) item be added to the Agenda. That Item was the signing of the Visiting Nurse Association Agreement for 1985-1986. There was no objection to adding the item to the Agenda. Leona Lansing made the motion that Chairman Farrar be authorized to sign the Agreement, George Mona seconded. There was no further discussion. All voted in favor. Continue discussion on City Data Processing Hardware Since there was a possible conflict of interest between Chairman Farrar and this next item, the discussing of City Computer purchase, Paul Farrar left the Council table and sat in the audience. Councilman Mona made the motion that Councilwoman Lansing be the Chairman during this discussion. Councilman Murray seconded the motion. All were in favor. Various systems were discussed regarding capacity, maintenance, cost, etc. The question regarding semi-conductor memory that can be added to an ATT computer came up and it was decided to postpone a decision until the next meeting and before that time get an answer to the question from the City's Consultant, Ernie Saunders. There being no further business the Council adjourned at 7:20 PM by motion of Mr. Murray and seconded by Mr. Mona. All were in favor. Clerk.
