HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 03/18/1976CITY COUNCIL SPECIAL MEETING MARCH 18, 1976 The South Burlington City Council held a brief meeting on Thursday, March 18, 1976, in the Assessor's Office, Municipal Office Building, 1175 Williston Road. MEMBERS PRESENT Paul Farrar, Chairman; John Dinklage, Michael Flaherty, Duane Merrill MEMBERS ABSENT Catherine Neubert OTHERS PRESENT William Szymanski, City Manager; Catherine Hayden The meeting was opened at 7:30 by the Chairman. Chairman Farrar announced the purpose of the meeting was to consider the City Budget. Mr. Saymanski distributed new copies of the proposed Budget, saying it included the changes made at the last meeting of the Council. He stated the operating budget cannot increase more than ten percent each year. He also referred to the request from the Williston Road Task Force for the widening of Dorset Street and a request from the JayCee's for funds, neither of which could be accommodated in the proposed budget for this coming year. Mr. Flaherty moved that the City Council approve the City Budget and City Tax Rate dated March 18, 1976, presented by the City Manager which includes the changes made at the last Council meeting on March 15, 1976. Seconded by Mr. Merrill and voted unanimously for approval. Mr. Flaherty then moved that the meeting be adjourned. Seconded by Mr. Dinklage and approved unanimously.
