Szymanski w RE: Appeal ##2 - Barbara Amblo, Conditional Use - Day Care Center DATE: April 20, 1987 The City Council, at their meeting on April 13, 1987, requested that I forward their concerns regarding the above referenced request for conditional use. The area is a well established residential area and granting the above request will alter the character of the neighborhood. It will also increase traffic and create parking problems. As you are aware the proposed use requires approval by the Zoning Board of Adjustment. The deadline for submitting an application is April 8, 1987 for a hearing which will be scheduled for April 27, 1987. Should you start your school without the necessary approval you would be in direct violation. I would recommend that you terminate any activity until this matter of permits is resolved. Should you fail to comply we will be forced to start legal proceedings against you. If you have any questions feel free to call me. The proposed use is classified as a conditional use under the City's zoning regulations. Conditional uses require approval by the Zoning Board of Adjustment. In order to complete your appeal appl,ication we will need a floor plan, drawn to scale of the area being used for the school. Also some documentation from the State that they will issue you a license. Normally a letter -of -intent is made part of the appeal application. An finally, the hearing fee is thirty (30) dollars. This office will schedule a hearing upon receipt of the information requested. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to call me.
