HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 03/03/1969BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING MARCH 3, 1969 The South Burlington Board of Selectmen held a public meeting at the Town Office Building, 555 Dorset Street, South Burlington, Vermont on Monday, March 3, 1969 at 7:00 P.M. Mr. D'Acuti, Chairman, called the meeting to order. MEMBERS PRESENT Vincent J. D'Acuti, Chairman; Robert K. Ashley, Charles H. Behney, Walter Nardelli and Augustus T. Stannard. MEMBERS ABSENT None OTHERS PRESENT Henry LeClair, Town Manager; Mr. Gregory Premo, Mr. Lawrence Roberts, and Mr. George Agel. CONSIDER APPEAL OF ROBERTS' ALUMINUM COMPANY FOR A USE VARIANCE On a motion made by Mr. Ashley and seconded by Mr. Behney the Selectmen unanimously santioned the Zoning Board of Adjustment's approval of February 19, 1969, of a use variance requested by the Robert's Aluminum Company. This request is for permission to operate a retail sales of mobile homes business at 3090 Williston Road. ACCEPT RESOLUTION APPROVING WEBSTER-MARTIN'S UPDATED PRELIMINARY PLANS FOR PHASE IV SEWERS Upon motion made by Mr. Ashley and seconded by Mr. Nardelli, it was unanimously resolved to adopt a resolution to accept the report on preliminary planning for Phase IV of the sewer and sewage treatment facilities for the Town of South Burlington as prepared by Webster-Martin, Inc. dated February, 1969 and also resolved that the Town request permission from the Vermont Water Resources Board to proceed with the final design of said facilities. The original of this resolution is attached to these minutes a made a part thereof. CONSIDER ADDING SWIFT STREET PUMPING STATION IN FINAL DESIGN FOR PHASE IV SEWER The Selectmen unanimously agreed to have included in the final design plans for Phase IV sewers a force main and pumping station, located at the intersection of Swift Street and Farrell Road at an approximate cost of $1500. SIGN NOTE FOR LAND-FILL DOZER The Selectmen signed the note for the new land-fill dozer. The meeting adjourned at 7:20 P.M.
