HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 08/02/1967BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING AUGUST 2, 1967 HOSKAM ZONE CHANGE REQUEST - SECOND READING The South Burlington Board of Selectmen resumed their August 1, 1967 meeting at 12:00 noon on August 2, 1967 with all members, Mr. LeClair, Town Manager and Mr. Christian Hoskam present. Mr. Hoskam presented evidence to the Board that the lot in question had been recorded as a building lot for twelve years, and before the zoning ordinance was passed. The Selectmen made it clear they were approving the change to Residence B only under special circumstances and with the understanding that Mr. Hoskam will submit a revised plan showing the road in question and a sixty foot right-of-way. The Selectmen Unanimously approved the zone change. The ordinance reads as follows: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND "THE SOUTH BURLINGTON ZONING ORDINANCE" BY CREATION OF AN ADDITIONAL AREA OF RESIDENTIAL B. The Selectmen of South Burlington hereby ordain: Section 1. The South Burlington Zoning Ordinance adopted February 28, 1964 and the official zoning map adopted in connection therewith is hereby amended by changing the land use of the following described land from Planned District to Residential B. A lot of land on the easterly side of Hinesburg Road, number 1480 Hinesburg Road, approximately one hundred and twenty-four (124) feet by two hundred (200) feet, bordered on the south by land of Mrs. Frederic Marston and on the north by land of Christian B. and Hazel G. Hoskam. Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect from its passage. Approved August 2, 1967. Signed by Vincent J. D'Acuti, Chairman; Robert K. Ashley, Frederick G. Blais, Augustus T.
