HomeMy WebLinkAboutMinutes - City Council - 07/19/1966BOARD OF SELECTMEN MEETING JULY 19, 1966 The South Burlington Board of Selectmen held a regular meeting at the Town Office Building, 555 Dorset Street, South Burlington, Vermont on Tuesday, July 19, 1966 at 7:00 P. M. MEMBERS PRESENT Vincent J. D'Acuti, Chairman; Robert K. Ashley and Frederick G. Blais. MEMBERS ABSENT Augustus T. Stannard and Stephen M. Whittlesey. OTHERS PRESENT Henry LeClair, Town Manager and Mr. Henry Paré. SECOND READING OF ZONE CHANGE REQUEST ­ MR. HENRY PARÉ. Mr. D'Acuti, Chairman, read the second reading of Henry Paré's request to change the zoning of his property from Planned District to Residence B. The Ordinance was passed as read. IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - RICHARD TERRACE The Board discussed an anticipated petition from residents of Richard Terrace requesting an Improvement District be formed for the purpose of installing curbs on Richard Terrace from Patchen Road to Berkley Street. The Board directed the Town Manager to proceed with the preparation of the ordinance in order to have the first reading on August 2, 1966 if the petition was received by that time. OTHER BUSINESS In other business Chairman D'Acuti read a letter he had received from Douglas Pierson, Attorney, representing home owners on the west side of Spear Street, with respect to the proposed water tower. Due to the absence of two members of the Board, it was decided that copies be made and sent to Board members for consideration of the letter at the next meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:20 P.M.
