Dear Air. Ward:
My husband (Ken Schatz) and I hereby request a, zonin- variance
for our house at 86 Central Avenue in Queen City Park. VTe
would like the Zoning Board of Adjustment to consider our
request as soon as possible. I believe the next meeting; at
which it could be considered is scheduled for Monday April
25, 1983.
The reason for the variance request is that we hope to make
two major improvements to our house in may, 1988. The contractor,
Hollenbach and Friends, Inc., has given us an estimate of about
$42,000 for the project. The two improvements are: (1) to
break through the wall of our existing living room into the
existing glassed -in porch and remodel the north to be a mudroom
with closets and an extension of the living room; and (2) to
build an addition on the second floor in the back of the house,
adding a master bedroom and bathroom. Currently the second floor
consists only of two small bedrooms.
Enclosed are eight copies of: (1) drawing of the building on
the lot, (2) floor plans for the improvements, (3) sketch of
the projected front and back views of the exterior of the house,
(4) description of the work involved to complete the improvements,
and (5) the contractor's estimate. I drew the lot sketch as best
I could to scale. The other drawings were done by the contractor
and are to scale, but were reduced in size on a nhotoconier.
Also enclosed are an application and a check for $30 for the
filing fee.
